What We Do
We help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD),
autism, and other special needs, live as independently as possible and reach
their personal goals.
At Mentor Community Services, we believe that everyone deserves to live a full, independent life. And the best place to do this is at home and in the community. We’ve made this our mission for more than 50 years. We spark connections, celebrate wins, and encourage growth for every stage of life. Our actions support the independence of a person. Because people are people. And they deserve to be seen for who they are.
Arizona Mentor believes every person we serve has the right to live well. Our caring team helps adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities build skills and increase their independence so they can reach their goals and be active in their community.
How we serve.
Our Arizona Mentor services include Host Home (also known as Development Home), Residential Services, In-Home Supports, Behavioral Health Services, Waiver Group Homes, and Day Programs.
Host Home
A host home provider is someone who welcomes an adult with an intellectual or developmental disability into their home as part of their family. Host home providers give care and support to help the individual meet their goals. Those may be wellness or treatment goals, or milestones to help them be more independent. As a Mentor, you can change a life.
Residential Services
Our residential services provides small group homes and other group living arrangements for adults and children with developmental disabilities. Our community homes, known in many communities as group homes, are warm and inviting spaces for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, as well as medical and other needs. Adults in our homes build independent living skills based on their needs
and goals.
In-Home Support Services
Our in-home support Services are designed to
help young adults and seniors succeed in their home and community. Whether living with family, caregivers, or on their own, our specially-trained staff provides services tailored to each individual’s needs and goals.
Behavioral Health Services
Our behavioral health services offer a full range of supports to help individuals grow. With the right support individuals with mental illness can overcome challenges such as psychotic symptoms, mood instability, substance use, and aggressive behaviors to increase independence and enjoy a higher quality of life.
Waiver Group Homes
We provide community based services in residential settings. While working closely with our clinical staff to support therapeutic and behavioral plans, and Caregivers(DSP), we provide assistance and strategies to the individuals we serve to live as independently
as possible.
Day Programs
Our day programs also help individuals build the skills they need to grow and reach their goals. Our day programs offer services in a variety of settings. Some are provided in the community and some are in our centers, where people can make friends and enjoy their favorite activities. We believe that growth happens in every stage of life, and every day is a great day to try something new
